Mike used a projector so we could all watch The Polar Express movie together "theater" style. Plus, we ate tons of Mike's freshly popped popcorn in our own paper bags, each one with our name on it - how cute! (You might notice that Mel's bag says DAD, but that's only because Mike understandably grabbed the bag labeled "M" - Ooops! Obviously that wasn't a problem, as I've got my face stuffed in every photo!) Mmmmmm!
It was fun to watch a Christmas movie and get in the holiday spirit (technically we watched this AFTER our Thanksgiving dinner, so no rules were broken :)). But I must admit that my love for this wonderful story is based on book itself. Chris Van Allsburg's imagery is just so beautiful, you have to read to book to feel the magic! Loved his books as a kid and still love this story.
