Twas the night before Christmas

We were up late Christmas eve baking pies and cookies for the big meals with the families. Luckily Santa comes to Maine after 2 am, so we were asleep in time for him to drop off gifts :)
We took a photo of us with our tree and gifts on Christmas eve, knowing we'd be pretty tired in the morning!
We had a busy day ahead of us so the alarm went off at 6am to get us moving! We're so lucky that traveling was just to the town next door (I wouldn't have wanted to get up any earlier!).

Here's my big gift/IOU from Brian - He's building be a shelf/coat rack for the kitchen to match my beautiful mail holder/key hooks thing he made for me in Cali 4 Christmases ago!

Now off to Mel's parents' house for breakfast!
